pacstrap/pacman signature error

Hello,

I'm trying to install archlinux32 from an USB drive in an old HP Mini 110 netbook (Atom N270 / 1.6 GHz. RAM 1 GB).

I've succesfully followed every pre-installation step.

Whenever I try to install a package I get the error:

signature from "User <email@email.com>" is unknown trust

I've already tried to refresh and reset all the keys, is there any other possible solution for this?

Thanks!

Re: pacstrap/pacman signature error

Are you suggesting someone's releasing packages wth an email address of email@email.com, or if that a placeholder in your example that's replaced with various addresses in reality?

It's replaced with various addresses in reality (e.g. "Andreas Baumann (sign) mail@andreasbaumann.cc")

Re: pacstrap/pacman signature error

Okay, that makes the problem a bit more normal then.  Unfortunately I don't remember the best way to update your keys and the trustdb.  Last time I gave advice on this I was swiftly corrected, and I can't remember the correction now I'm afraid.  But hopefully someone who knows will be along shortly.

Re: pacstrap/pacman signature error

Hi. Which ISO did you take? Ok, I tested archlinux-2020.02.01-i686.
Is there error happening in the ISO, when using pacstrap or in the installed system?

Re: pacstrap/pacman signature error

It was a problem with the clock, NTP synchronization wasn't initializing correctly.

Re: pacstrap/pacman signature error

In most archlinux derivatives including this one, ntp is not installed or enabled by default, because it may require configuration before it should be started.  When doing a iso boot, I guess you need to manually ensure your clock is reasonably accurate, which can be tricky on old systems as the RTC batteries start to fail.
