[SOLVED] Chromium -- missing lib file with latest version?

I recently noticed that the latest Chromium version (v87) no longer starts, and complains about a missing file -- libre2.so.9.

This file appears is in the latest 64-bit version of the re2 package, but not the Arch32 version:

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/re2/files/
https://archlinux32.org/packages/pentium4/extra/re2/

I downgraded Chromium to version 86.0.4240.198-1.0 for now, and Chromium starts.

---

Have I diagnosed the issue correctly?  Should I patiently wait for the Arch32 version of re2 to be updated, or should I let someone know about this issue...?

Cheers :-)

Yes, looks right to me.  The arch32 package contains libre.so.8, so it evidently need updating.  The one in staging seems to have the right file though.  I'm not sure why that didn't get pulled across automatically when chromium got published to be honest, as it is listed as a dependency.

Architecture: pentium4, Testing repos: Yes, Hardware: EeePC 901+2GB RAM+OS half on the SD card.

Ah, right.  Thanks for explaining that, levi.  I'll mark this as solved and wait for the update.  :-)
