min web browser misses electron

hi

I want to install min as web browser. It works great on 64bits version. really great : light and fast.
but it can't be installed on archlinux32 : pacman complains "he" can't find electron.

warning: cannot resolve "electron", a dependency of "min"

Yes, looks like electron build don't run on 32-bit hosts.  It's officially not available here it looks like.  If you want a light and fast web browser, try netsurf, although it's javascript implementation is limited, but it runs on web 1.x sites like this and other bbses just fine.

Re: min web browser misses electron

too bad. min should be removed from repository as it can't be installed.

Re: min web browser misses electron

It is blocked in https://git.archlinux32.org/packages/tr … ectron/min but the package still exists in the repos on the mirror
and in the build database.

Re: min web browser misses electron

It should simplify things for users, and I can't see any reason not to given it will never work.  Additional electron packages I've found are gn-m76 and asar.

Edit: Though to be fair, those are packages for actually building electron, so maybe they're still useful to people who want to try to improve this situation.

Re: min web browser misses electron

ok, done. Also some more packages which were marked as to-be-deleted have been deleted during this run.
Note, that the delete script is not run automatically, because it can cause large damage if too many / the wrong packages are deleted smile - but still, the selection of to-be-deleted packages is somewhat automated (e.g. blacklisted packages, packages not available upstream anymore and not required in arch32 as a dependency)

Re: min web browser misses electron

I wonder, was libmfx listed as to be deleted?  Seems I'm still potentially using it to run firefox, although since I don't generally look at media beyond static photos here I'm not too worried.

Re: min web browser misses electron

hmm, looks, like it was deleted. But I cannot find a reason, why it should be - it's not blacklisted. I consider this a bug in the build scripts ...
