I'm trying to boot into newest Archlinux32 ISO image (archlinux32-2024.07.10-i686.iso) in UEFI mode in VMware Player. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work. Standard Archlinux ISO boots UEFI without any problems.
So there comes a questions - is Archlinux32 ISO image cappable to boot UEFI, or is it VMware Player problem?

There is no support for 32-bit UEFI in Archlinux32. 64-bit UEFI makes no sense. Is VMWare no longer supporting BIOS mode booting?
You could always go with something like qemu/libvirt.

VMWare still keeps both BIOS and UEFI booting. Finally I managed to make my Archlinux32 dual boot - UEFI and BIOS. The clue is to change one setting in VMWare Player - bitness of guest.
As my host is Windows there are two problems using quemu - first is no kvm acceleration support in Windows. Second is that qemu has rather poor disk throughput (much lower than VMWare), even with virtio drivers - especially for small chunks.

Probably a Hyper-V or WSL approach is better suited in that case, if you can still do 32-bit with it..
Maybe also VirtualBox, I have a 32-bit Archlinux32 running that way on Windows 11.
