Zoom problems

Hi

I have tried installing zoom using the binary package here: https://zoom.us/client/latest/zoom_i686.tar.xz
I installed pulseaudio and pulseaudio-alsa.
Im using Wayland and Sway. I have xorg-server installed also and xwayland.

I get this when running it:
$ /opt/zoom/zoom.sh
=============================================================================================
This is debug mode of zoom client. Once crash, zoom will generate core dump under this mode.
=============================================================================================
Instead of writing the core dump to disk, your system is configured to send it to the "|/usr/lib/systemd/systemd-coredump %P %u %g %s %t %c %h" instead.
Do you want to modify the default core dump file name?

Re: Zoom problems

What RAM do you have in that machine?  A seg fault can indicate the system ran out of RAM, so a swap file will at least delay the crash and maybe even solve it.

Re: Zoom problems

I'm getting an 'access denied' when I'm trying to download the link above, and I don't seem to be the only one..

Re: Zoom problems

Yes, what looks like a fairly sensible link turns out to link me to a cloudfront server which it claims I don't have access to.

I can't guarantee I tried that link when I first contributed to this thread, but it ain't working for me when I tried it just now.

Re: Zoom problems

I can't guarantee it doesn't.  I block all ad servers I know from connecting, and even block all third part images by default using umatrix these days.
