[SOLVED]-udisksctl timeout error

Got this error with udisks2 v2.9.3-1.0:

# udisksctl mount -b /dev/sdXY
Error connecting to the udisks daemon: Fehler beim Aufruf von StartServiceByName für org.freedesktop.UDisks2: Zeitüberschreitung wurde erreicht

Had the hope it will be udisk2 related and waited for an upgrade. But got the same error message with udisks2 v2.9.4-1.0

Then checking disk manager service shows symbol lookup error:

# systemctl status udisks2.service
× udisks2.service - Disk Manager
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/udisks2.service; disabled; vendor preset: disabled)
     Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sun 2021-10-03 19:58:55 CEST; 2min 28s ago
       Docs: man:udisks(8)
    Process: 1105 ExecStart=/usr/lib/udisks2/udisksd (code=exited, status=127)
   Main PID: 1105 (code=exited, status=127)
        CPU: 13ms

Okt 03 19:58:55 loki systemd[1]: udisks2.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Okt 03 19:58:55 loki systemd[1]: Failed to start Disk Manager.

Further checking:

# pacman -Qo /usr/lib/libbd_utils.so.2
/usr/lib/libbd_utils.so.2 ist in libblockdev 2.26-1.0 enthalten

# paclog --package=libblockdev
[2021-10-01T09:18:51+0200] [ALPM] upgraded libblockdev (2.25-2.0 -> 2.26-1.0)

Testing downgrade libblockdev and restart udev2

# sudo pacman -U /home/repo/libblockdev-2.25-2.0-pentium4.pkg.tar.zst
[2021-10-03T20:12:44+0200] [ALPM] downgraded libblockdev (2.26-1.0 -> 2.25-2.0)

# sudo systemctl restart udev2.service

-> Oila, udisksctl working again

Re: [SOLVED]-udisksctl timeout error

Seems like a duplicate of this.  Likewise I resolved it temporarily by downgrading libblockdev.

Re: [SOLVED]-udisksctl timeout error

Is it right to say this is fixed now if you do an update.  My linked issue seems to have been fixed now, so it seems reasonable to assume this is fixed as well, but I'll wait for you to confirm if you are able.

Re: [SOLVED]-udisksctl timeout error

Just upgraded libblockdev (2.25-2.0 -> 2.26-1.3) and tested udisksctl. This is fixed!

Thank you for waiting and please excuse the typo in my previous post: udev2.service, should have been udisks2.service.
