Hi I kinda now have no choice, too late I installed archlinux32 on this PC I didn't had offical Arch ISO, and downloading it will take from me more time + internet connection for me aren't good.
Anyway using archlinux32 in such is it mistake ? I mean, will I miss something (packages software CPU flags) ?

Re: archlinux32 on 4GB Core i5 PC

It depends what you're doing with it.  I don't know what cpu flags the 32-bit mode on these CPUs lack compared to the 64-bit mode, but in terms of the core set of instructions I guess the biggest gain is having bigger registers, if you need them.  The sort of thing that would need them I reckon is 3D gaming and video processing.

Arch32 is currently fairly broken, if you update to latest, which I don't think has happened to my 64-bit boxes.  But that's the first big break in a couple of years to exemplary support, so I guess it's forgivable.

For anything 64-bittish use the upstream Archlinux. Archlinux32 struggles with maintaining the basic functionallity of the distribution currently.
On Archlinux32 expect things to break suddenly, be not so up-to-date or plain missing. It's a best effort distribution only at the moment (or always
has been).

Be prepared to slay some dragons on your own if using it. :-)

Yes, the kernel is notably laggardly. I get the news about new kernel releases from lwn then more or less at the same time arch uprstream stages it, then tests it then puts it in stable.  Only then, as I recall, so we pick it up for staging in arch32.  That whole process only takes a few days, and I'm not aware of any remote hole that's been exploitable in the kernel, so that's not a problem at all.

I think I recall a disc corruption event if using btrfs and raid or something slightly overblown like that did get released, but I don't think that ever hit upstream arch stable, so we avoided that.

Re: archlinux32 on 4GB Core i5 PC

The OP has reported that they had a number of errors they encountered installing the arch32 installer, probably because even after you fix the archlinux keyring, we still have a number of packages depending on now broken packages.  He's downoaded an arch64 installer (as advised) and is having greater success there. But he's planning to be back with older hardware. I should note for the OP that the Pentium-D 945 is perfectly capable of running archlinux64 according to the intel ark.
