GRUB not working on GPT Partition table, BIOS boot only

I have a Dell Latitude d610 that i decided to install arch32 on but grub does not work at all i have tried an MBR and GPT partition table. i have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to grub and have been at it for two days now and have installed arch32 7 times. if anyone could help it would be greatly apricated. it is a Pentium M at 1.4Ghz with 2GB of ram and a 160GB IDE HDD

EDIT: i have gotten it working and am now in sights of the quad-boot nightmare i planed to make
